RFID technology is ubiquitous in our lives. Now, many apparel companies, such as Decathlon, Fuana, Uniqlo, have used RFID technology to realize effective RFID clothing tracking.
Taking Zara as an example, Inditex, the parent company of Zara, decided to adopt RFID clothing tracking technology for the entire group to improve the group's supply chain in 2014. The company stated that RFID is an important innovation in the management of a new generation of stores. The CEO of Inditex publicly stated: Through the application of RFID technology, the inventory and supply of nearly 70% of flagship brands have been improved. Together with the upgrades in design, production and distribution, sales in the first half of the year rose 11.1% to 10.47 billion euros, and profits It reached a 7.5% increase to 1.26 billion euros. Facts have proved that ZARA has achieved ultra-high efficiency through RFID clothing tracking technology, and it only takes about 10 days for its clothing to go from the design concept to the finished product.
So what is the specific process of RFID clothing tracking during operation?
1. RFID clothing tag binding
Write the important attributes of a single piece of clothing in the corresponding RFID electronic tag: item number, clothing name, clothing model, clothing grade, clothing fabric, washing method, implementation standard, quality inspector, etc., and then bind the RFID label and clothing together. Bind the bar code label and RFID label. The RFID electronic label on each clothing is one-to-one, which plays a role of anti-counterfeiting and prevents fake and shoddy clothing.
2. Factory clothing storage
When clothing passes through the warehouse entrance, the fixed RFID reader installed at the entrance and exit reads the RFID tag. The clothing can pass through without error, the green light is on; the clothing is abnormal and the red light is on.
3. Receiving at retail stores
When retail stores receive goods from manufacturers, they can use handheld RFID tag readers to scan them to check the quantity and type of clothing.
4. Statistics of fitting room
RFID readers are installed in the fitting room, and customers will have statistics every time when they try on clothes, and the frequency of each piece of clothing will be counted. Combining with the purchase results, the styles that customers like are analyzed, and the customer purchase transaction rate will be improved.
5. Clothing sale
A desktop RFID card reader is installed at the checkout counter. When the clothes are sold, the sales status of the clothes untie the RFID tag and the system will change automatically after the customer pays.
6. Anti-theft alarm
When the customer leaves the store with the goods and passes through the pillar access door, if the clothing is not paid, the access door RFID reader will automatically sense and send out an alarm, which acts as a burglar alarm.
7. Clothing inventory
When taking inventory, RFID handhelds are used to scan clothing tags, batch inventory, and RFID tags within a few meters can be read.
