Nowadays, more and more organizations use RFID based asset management system to manage their internal assets. The RFID asset management system mainly includes three parts:
(1) The RFID tag on the asset allows each asset to have its unique ID;
(2) RFID readers installed indoors, entrances and exits;
(3) Management platform for real-time monitoring of assets.
The main tasks of asset management are new addition, transfer, idle, scrap, repair, and inventory, etc. Therefore, the organization's management of assets begins with the purchase of equipment and ends with the scrapping of equipment.
Before the device is launched to use, the RFID tag such as hf RFID labels will be installed on it, and the asset information will be written into the RFID tag. When the organization manages an asset, the reader will read the RFID tag on the asset and send the information to the asset management system server for processing. Through this process, RFID asset tracking management is realized.
Through the DTB RFID based asset tracking system, the organization achieved the following management goals:
(1)Fully visible assets and real-time update of asset information;
(2)Real-time monitoring of asset usage and flow, such as real-time query of assets location, assets movement tracking, alarm etc.;
(3)Automatically generate asset management statistics reports.
