Basic Knowledge about Rfid Technology Principle

What is the principle of RFID technology? Some have such doubts. RFID is commonly known as radio frequency technology. As one of the key technologies for building the "Internet of things", data connection and data exchange, radio frequency technology is an emerging automatic identification technology developed in the 1980s. It uses radio frequency signals to realize contactless information transmission through space coupling (alternating magnetic field or electromagnetic field) for identification purpose. Working Principles of RFID tag

After the RFID tag label enters the magnetic field, it receives the radio frequency signal from the reader, and uses the energy obtained by the induced current to send the product information (passive tag) stored in the chip, or the tag actively sends a certain frequency signal (active tag), and the reader sends it to the data management system for relevant data processing after reading and decoding the information.

Derivative Products of RFID technology

Passive RFID products: This type of product requires close contact identification, such as meal cards, bank cards, bus cards and ID cards, etc. The main operating frequencies are low-frequency 125KHZ, high-frequency 13.56MHZ, UHF 433MHZ and 915MHZ

Active RFID products: This type of product has the characteristics of long-distance automatic identification, such as smart parking lots, smart cities, smart transportation, and the Internet of Things. The main work is microwave 2.45GHZ and 5.8GHZ, UHF 433MHZ

Semi-active RFID products: Combining the advantages of both active RFID products and passive RFID products. Microwave 2.45G takes advantage to operate under the trigger of a low frequency of 125KHZ to activate positioning at close range and transmit data at long distances.
