The application of RFID tag in automobile industry system mainly includes body identification and tracking management, the tracking management of parts and fixed assets, vehicle logistics management, etc.;
1. The body track identification in vehicle production
After using RFID system, the RFID tags are usually attached to a skid that carries the body of the car, running along with the workpiece from the beginning to the end. It forms the data moving with the car body and becomes the intelligent car body with the database in the whole production process.
The basic process: After the detection switch detects the NPOS of the car body, the read/write device starts to automatically read the data stored in the tag installed on the skid, and sends the data to the PLC, then the data will be displayed on the human-machine interface at the same time; the data can be uploaded to the workshop production process monitoring system PMC through PLC for further processing and calculation, so as to realize the workpiece logistics tracking and the production process control in the whole workshop. It is not necessary for all the read/write devices to communicate with the primary database when adopting the RFID technology in the production line, so the failure of communicating with the primary database will not cause the production to stop. After passing through the station, the data can also be written to the tag. Therefore, RFID is more and more used in the car body identification system.
2. The tracking management of parts and assets
An automobile is composed of a large number of parts, and a good part tracking management can improve the level of logistics management and quality management. Now there are two main ways to track parts. One is attaching the tag to the parts, which is called hard link. A typical example is the use of RFID in tire tracking management. The parts like tires are generally characterized by high value, high safety requirements and easy confusion among other parts. RFID tag can effectively identify and track the parts. The other is to attach the tag on the package or carrier of the part. The latter method can reduce the cost of using RFID, but it is necessary to keep the database link between the labeled RFID container and the parts in the container. This method is called soft link or soft tracking.
