The Principle of RFID Technology

Some people may have such a question: What is the principle of RFID technology? RFID, commonly known as radio frequency technology, is one of the key technologies for the construction of Internet of Things, data connection and data exchange. Radio frequency (RF) technology is a new automatic identification technology developed in the 1980s, which uses RF signals to realize contactless information transmission through space coupling (alternating magnetic field or electromagnetic field) for identification purposes. The working principle:

After the RFID tag enters the magnetic field, it receives the RF signal from the reader, and sends the product information stored in the chip through the energy obtained by the induced current (passive tag), or sends a signal of a certain frequency actively by the tag (active tag). Then the reader reads and decodes the information and sends it to the data management system for relevant data processing.


Derivatives:

Passive RFID products: Close contact identification is required in this kind of product such as meal cards, bank cards, bus cards and ID cards. The main working frequencies are 125kHz low frequency, 13.56MHz high frequency, UHF 433MHz and 915MHz.


Active RFID products: Such products have the characteristic of long-distance automatic identification. They are used in intelligent parking lot, smart city, intelligent transportation, Internet of things and other fields. The main work frequencies include microwave 2.45GHz 5.8GHz and UHF 433MHz.


Semi-active RFID products: Combining the advantages of active RFID products and passive RFID products, under the trigger of low frequency of 125kHz, the microwave 2.45G gives full play to its advantages to activate the positioning in a short distance and transmit data over a long distance.
